Cobra Demo Day - Thursday, 5 May

We start this week with a reminder about our Cobra Demonstration Day on Thursday, 5 May from 2pm-6pm. 

Cobra Golf is a particular favourite of mine, as they have always been particularly strong in the Ladies and Seniors market. Uniquely, their Clubs tend to feel lighter making the player feel like they can move the Club quicker which benefits the player with a quicker Club head speed and a more controllable swing resulting in greater accuracy and more distance. 

Cobra is a leader in golf club innovation and technology, and in 2016 Cobra have introduced their King F6 irons, which are individually optimised for performance, providing golfers with distance, control, forgiveness and a soft feel on every shot. These really are the full package and rival the strong performance of Callaway's and PING Clubs. 

The King F6 irons reinvent set construction giving golfers the ultimate progressive set, engineered with Cobra's new TECFLO system. The TECFLO system (Technology Enhanced Cavity Feel Launch Optimisation) is the combination of multiple technologies and advanced constructions creating a progressive iron set designed to optimise the performance of every iron. 

In order to achieve optimal performance on shots, the F6 iron set is engineered with four different iron constructions. Long irons (3i-5i) are comprised of a full hollow construction, mid irons (6i-7i) are half hollow construction and the short irons (8i-PW) feature a deep undercut cavity-back design, while the wedges (GW-SW) feature a specialty muscle back shape and tour contoured sole. 

"In designing the King F6 irons, we are answering the different needs of golfers. You shouldn't have to choose between distance, forgiveness, feel or accuracy…you can have it all," notes Jose Miraflor, Director of Product Marketing at Cobra Golf. "We are providing long irons that fly high, long and straight; mid-irons for consistency and accuracy; short irons provide trajectory and spin control that helps you hit it closer to the pin; and specialty wedges for versatility around the green."

Hope Cove Charity Day - WE NEED YOU! - Saturday, 14 May 

Next month is the annual return of the Hope Cove Life Boat Charity Day. As this years Captain's Charity it would be great to get the full support of the club behind this very important local service. 

The competition will be played as a Bowmaker Competition in teams of 4 with 2 scores to count. There will be some great prizes on offer and it is set to be a very enjoyable day for all involved. This is an Open Competition so both members and non-members are welcome to play. 

The entry for the day will be £150 per team which includes a buffet afterwards. Entry forms can be collected from the Professional Shop or Office and cheques made payable to "Hope Cove Life Boat".

Orlando 2016 - November 9th-16th. 

We are now taking booking deposits for our Thurlestone trip to Orlando in November. We have had an excellent response following our initial email and as the package has changed slightly we thought it was worth mentioning again... 

The original package included flights, however as the flight prices have reduced significantly and many people wanted the flexibility to extend their trips we have now put together a hotel and golf package instead.
