Welcome to this weeks newsletter. With the Men’s, Seniors and Junior Club Championships last weekend, we are not short of news this week. With all 3 Competitions played at the same time we found that we had a good entry across the three sections of the Club.

 

Mens

The Mens Club Championship was played over 36 holes in fine conditions and it was Chris Jones that started the morning round with an impressive Gross 72. Steve Pike was only 2 shots behind at the half way stage. 

In the Nett Competition Lee Bellamy shot an excellent Nett 66 in the morning with Juniors Sammy Ingham and Finn Whelan following close behind with Nett 67’s. 

In the afternoon David Eva came out on top in the Gross competition with a gross 70 to win the Mens Club Championship by 2 shots from Steve Pike.

Mens Club Championship- Jubilee Scratch Vase- Gross 
1st - David Eva - (77 70), Total 147 
2nd - Steve Pike - (74 75), Total 149 
3rd - Robert Came - (78 73), Total 151 

The Nett Competition was dominated by the youngsters with Sammy Ingham winning with a total of 134 and Finn Whelan came second with 137 

Mens Club Championship- Sir Harold Parkinson Trophy- Nett 
1st - Sammy Ingham - (92-67 92-67), Total 134 
2nd - Finn Whelan - (81-67 84-74), Total 137 
3rd - Matt Messias - (80-70 79-69), Total 139 

Seniors

We move onto the Seniors next which was played over the morning 18 holes. John Manhood won the Gross with a score of 80 with Stewart Barnes only a shot behind on 81. Paul Milburn-Fryer won the Nett with a score of 70 with Bill Campbell only a shot behind on 71.

Seniors Nett Club Championship 
1st - Paul Milburn- Fryer - (82-12-70) 
2nd - Bill Campbell - (82-11-71) 
3rd - John Mahood - (80-07-73) 

Juniors

And Finally the Junior Club Championship which was also over 18 holes was dominated by Finn Whelan winning the Gross and Sammy Ingham winning the Nett competition.

2nd - Ethan Bellamy - 83 
3rd - Lucas Bellamy - 88 

Juniors Nett Club Championship 
1st - Sammy Ingham - (92-25-67)

Some of you may know that the Proshop has been running it’s Fantasy Premier Football League since last August and with the Premiership concluding this week we can now reveal final places in the league. 

Simon Davey topped our table with a very impressive 2230 points and that also put him in the top 21,000 players overall. Not bad seeing there were 3.7 million players.

Simon wins a voucher for the Proshop for the value of £90. Second place was Jonathan Heilbron who wins a Proshop voucher for £50 and Ken Riley gets a voucher for £30 for coming 3rd place.
