With the summer season drawing to an end,all four majors completed, the focus for the top professionals of Europe and the US turn to the bi-annual team matchplay battle known as the Ryder Cup. Hazletine in America, is the venue and Europe are the current holders of the trophy. Captain Darren Clarke has three wildcards to add to his qualifiers.
I personally would add the experienced Lee Westwood after his recent form, German Martin Kaymer and possibly a surprise in American based Russell Knox, one of the straightest drivers of the ball and an excellent putter, ideal for the format. Other potential picks include Graeme McDowell, Luke Donald, Shane Lowery and Alex Noren. I'm sure their will be many twists and turns in the coming weeks before the event.
