MASTERS TRIP 2017

A couple of weeks ago I sent out a Special Mail inviting you on next years Trip to the US Masters. This amazing Trip is open to you as a member and your friends. 

The Trip will be an 8 night trip staying at the Hyatt Place Hotel in Columbia, SC. The price includes Car hire shared between 4 people. We will play 4 rounds of golf at various local courses and of course 2 days at the US Masters. 

The cost per person will be £3200 plus flights.

Sunday, 2 April - Fly direct to Charlotte NC
Monday, 3 April - Play at Cobblestone Park GC (incl. Buggy Hire) 
Tuesday, 4 April - Attend the US Master Practice Day 
Wednesday, 5 April - Play at Oak Hills GC (Incl. Buggy Hire) 
Thursday, 6 April - Play at Wood Creek Golf Club (incl. Buggy Hire) 
Friday, 7 April - Attend US Masters on Tournament Day 
Saturday, 9 April - Day at leisure 
Sunday, 10 April - Play at Columbia Country Club (incl. Buggy Hire) 
Monday, 11 April - Depart Charlotte NC 
Tuesday, 12 April - Arrive back home

The summer long Eclectic sponsored by Callaway Golf came to a conclusion last weekend. The competition is made up of the best score on each individual hole over 10 of rounds. 

As always with the Juniors it was a very closely contested affair, with George Messias and Noah Mulligan topping the points total for their 18 holes with an amazing 61 Stableford points each! George finished first on count back as he had the better back 9 score. 

The 9 hole competition was won by Jasmin Nixon who scored 34 points on the front 9, runner up was James Hitchin. Prizes will be presented at the Junior presentation evening in November.

Tiger Woods Come Back

The 14 time Major Champion and former world number was scheduled to return to competitive golf this coming week at the Safeway Open in California. Woods now ranked 786 in the world last played on the US tour in August 2015. The 40 year old has since withdrawn due to his game being "vulnerable" and not ready to compete. 

This comes on the back of several players and coaches close to Tiger suggesting he's striking the ball well on the range, however it is one thing to be hitting the ball well on a range and quite another to turn that into effective scoring.
