Welcome to this weeks newsletter. We have a very busy time at the moment with all of our New 2017 stock arriving daily. This week we have had our Ladies FootJoy 2017 shoes arrive. As always FootJoy, '#1 Shoe in Golf', offers the female golfer more selection than any other golf footwear manufacturer. With over 18 stock styles, you are sure to find that shoe you can't live without...
What is worth noting is that FootJoy not only offer their shoes in full and half sizes but also in Narrow, Medium and Wide width fittings too.
It's been proven that 6 out of 10 people are wearing the wrong size shoes! Most people chose their shoes based on style and comfort, which is fine, but you must ensure that your golf shoes are a snug fit. The reason for this is that your golf shoes are designed to give you support whilst swinging the Club.
A pair of shoes that are too big will mean that your feet will move around excessively inside the shoe and your balance, shot strike and therefore dispersion is compromised. The analogy that FootJoy used to describe shoes when they are too big is that your feet will move around as if you were playing a shot from a bunker.
In other words you feel your feet slip or move around as if you were on sand.
With some of the shoe fittings we have been doing this week we have invited customers to hit shots in our indoor studio to see the benefits of having good fitting shoes. Everyone gained in yardage and most improved their shot dispersion too. Jack wears size 11 shoes normally and after a FootJoy shoe fitting we learnt that he should be wearing a size 9 1/2. Jack couldn't believe the difference in feel and stability with the snugger fitting shoe. Even Jack gained 6 yards in distance as a result of his feet not rolling around inside his shoes!
If you would like us to measure your feet and see the benefits of good fitting shoes please feel free to pop in and see us in the Proshop.
With the arrival of the New Ladies shoe collection we now have some 2016 Ladies Shoes at great prices in our January SALE . We have a great selection for you to choose from but I don't think that they will be hanging around for long so when they are gone, there gone!
How did you enjoy the weekend's golf? Some truly special stuff was played on both sides of the pond over the weekend. Graeme Storm's remarkable story continued on the European Tour. The Englishman kept his Tour card for this year by the skin of his teeth, only to go and defeat Rory McIlroy after a three-hole playoff in his first event of 2017. Over in Hawaii, Justin Thomas followed up last week's triumph by carding an opening round 59 en route to a second successive victory, smashing various records in the process.
Back in the UK we're not quite enjoying the kind of weather the pros are but if their sensational golf has got your golfing juices flowing again, then make sure you come and see us this week. There's lots happening in the pro shop at this time of year as we prepare for new arrivals from our major suppliers, so pop your head in and take a look around.
