Trolley scheme

Do you use an electric trolley to play golf? Does it let you down from time to time? If it’s older than 5 years then it may well be giving you a headache whilst playing. Well, we may have the solution. Did you know that we ran an annual trolley rental scheme here in the pro shop?

We have 16 Motocaddy and PowaKaddy electric trolleys which we rent out at £10 per round or if you are a member of our annual Trolley Club it will only cost you £140 for the whole year (January- December)

The way the scheme works is that each time you come to play here at Thurlestone you simply come into the pro shop and we will set up an electric trolley for you to use. You don’t have to store the trolley, charge the battery or even pay to get it fixed if it breaks down, we will take care of all of that for you. In fact, once you have paid your £140 there is nothing else to pay. You will of course be assured of the most up to date trolley's and we will also have 8 of the new PowaKaddy GPS trolley’s in our rental fleet for this year!

So if you would like ‘stress free trolleying’ it couldn’t be simpler, all you need to do is to come in and speak to us here in the pro shop and we can get you started. We only have a limited amount of these memberships available so it will be done on a first come first served basis.

We will also be replacing our rental fleet in February with brand new Motocaddy and PowaKaddy trolley’s, so I have 8 ex-rental trolleys that will be FOR SALE very soon. The trolley's we have for sale are the Motocaddy S1 trolley with an extended range (36 Hole) battery and charger. The trolley's are only 1 year old and are serviced fully and cleaned before re-sale. If you were to buy this trolley new it would cost £499.99. The ex-rental trolley’s will cost only £299 each. Once again, we only have 8 of these trolley’s for sale so if you would like to reserve one then please contact us in the pro shop as these too will be sold on a first come first served basis.

A mouthwatering prospect...

Looking ahead to what 2018 has to offer in the golfing world brings to light one event in particular: The Ryder Cup. This year it takes place on home soil, in Paris, at the end of September and it’s shaping up to be a titanic battle between some of the world’s best golfers.

This week gives us a little preview as to how Team Europe might shape up as a slightly weakened team take on their Asian counterparts in the EurAsia Cup. There’s plenty of British talent on show with Casey, Dunne, Fisher, Fitzpatrick, Fleetwood and Hatton all making Thomas Bjorn’s team.

As for Team USA, they recently completed a one-sided victory over an International team in the 2017 Presidents Cup. Just by looking down their list of players – DJ, Spieth, Thomas, Fowler and Kopeka – it’s clear to see why this year’s Ryder Cup is such a mouthwatering prospect.
