Welcome to this week's newsletter.

We start this week by Congratulating the success of our Ladies Still Cup team. Sadly Thurlestone were narrowly beaten at Honiton in the Final against Tavistock Golf Club by 4 games to 3 yesterday.

The Team were clearly disappointed not to win the closely contested final, but the caddies and supporters soon reminded the team about their fantastic achievement by making it to the Final, an achievement which no other Thurlestone Ladies Still Cup Team had achieved for nearly 50 years!

I noticed that from talking to the Ladies yesterday that despite the result there was a real belief that Thurlestone Ladies can compete within the County and the experience the players gained from playing in this final will hopefully stand them in good stead for future years.

Below you can see our extremely smart team and Caddies proudly showing off the "E.Young Bowl" which Captain, Heather Spencer, was presented with yesterday. Well done to all the Players, Caddies and the mass of Thurlestone supporters who flew the Thurlestone colours with pride and I for one am already looking forward to next year!

Under Armour also provide an excellent option in the headwear department which I feel will be very popular for both men and ladies this year.
