Autumn/Winter Clothing

With Autumn just around the corner, we have been receiving our Autumn/Winter Men’s and Ladies Clothing collections.

This week we are going to look at the some of our Ladies Brands.

For the Ladies, we have one of our favourite Brands in Green Lamb Clothing. Green Lamb is a performance brand for active women. The Brand claims that their trendy clothing collections aid performance and having stocked this brand for the past 18 years we know that ladies enjoy the consistent quality, styles and fit of this Brand.

The key pieces we think you should look out for are the ever popular lined sweaters/cardigans and gillets.

We would also like to introduce a New Brand called ‘Swing Out Sister’ Swing Out Sister only hit the ladies golf fashion scene in 2016, born from the need of women golfers everywhere for a stylish brand that is also affordable. A thing of beauty

Some of you might not know this but Brooks Koepka has been using Mizuno irons - without being paid to do so - for a few years now, winning multiple majors and climbing to the summit of the World Rankings in that time.

The race for The Masters

Rory McIlroy has 15 million reasons to smile this week after winning the Tour Championship for the second time in his career - a record he now shares with a certain Mr Tiger Woods - and scooping a cool $15 million prize as a result.

The Northern Irishman carded a final-round 66 to finish the week on 18-under-par, four shots clear of Xander Schauffele in second and five clear of playing partner Brooks Koepka.

It was that Sunday pairing of McIlroy and Koepka that caught the eye as the two most dominant players on Tour this year went toe-to-toe in a Ryder Cup style battle. The duo are now ranked 1st and 2nd in the World Rankings, with Koepka occupying top spot as he has for most of 2019.

Between them, they have won eight majors (four each) but remarkably neither has claimed The Masters. Whilst it may seem a long way away, you can be sure the target for both these players in 2020 will be to make sure they don the Green Jacket at Augusta next spring.

Flop shot required

Type ‘flop shot’ into Google and Phil Mickelson’s name will be at the top of the search. The five-time Major champion is the go-to guy when it comes to shots around the green, especially the flop shot. So, if you want to follow suit and impress your golfing partners, here’s our guide to this magical shot.

Technique

The first thing you must do is accelerate through the ball and stay aggressive. It's when we get a little scared or take our eye off the ball that things start to go wrong, all of which we can explain during a short game lesson.

Wedge

Your wedge plays a vital role with worn grooves and incorrect bounce leaving you at risk of a bladed shot through the green. Nightmare!

Mizuno’s renowned S18 wedges are arguably the best around to execute this shot properly, as the spin consistency and grind enable you to get the ball popping up in the air and stopping quickly.
