Welcome to our first newsletter of 2015. We hope that you have all had a great Christmas and like us, are very much looking forward to 2015. 



We start this week by congratulating one of our youngest Thurlestone members, George Messias who had his first ever hole in one on the morning of 31st, December. 

A hole in one is a great feat for any golfer but George is only 12 years old and has only been playing golf since July 2014! An incredible effort! George's impressive feat happened on the 3rd hole from the red tees on a very windy day! George used his driver and his dad, Matt, described it as one of the best drives he'd hit! George put his success down to watching a movie about 'Seve' the night before.

Both George and his brother Alfie joined Thurlestone last summer and have embraced the Junior Academy and Junior Club Nights on Monday evenings. They come and practice regularly with their Dad and it would seem that all of their hard work is now paying off. This caps an incredible year for the Thurlestone Junior's as you may remember that in the same newsletter last year we were congratulating another junior, Olly Walker, who also managed his first hole in one on 1st Jan.
