Special congratulations

On a beautiful Thurlestone Summer's Day, Sally Huntley welcomed 72 competitors to her Lady Captain's Day. Sally met all competitors with a Captain's Goody bag as well as drinks on the 10th tee!

All ladies supported the Captain and her charity by buying 'Get out of the bunker' Vouchers as well as the 'Beat the Pro' competition on the first hole.

The format for the day was teams of 3 with 2 Stableford scores to count on each hole and the winning team scored a very impresive 88 points!

Well done to all the ladies who took part to make the day such a success!

Thurlestone Proshop Fantasy Footbal League Concludes

With the conclusion of the football season last Sunday the Thurlestone Fantasy Footbal League came to an exciting end with a new Champion being crowned.

This fiercly competitive league had some big scores this year with a lot of the usual names appearing in the Top 10.

Unlike the Premier League this year, the Thurlestone Proshop league came down to the last week with Richard Taffs just sneaking past Chris Paschalides on the last day. 

You can enter the league for fun or if you pay a £10 entry you can play for a share of the pot at the end of the season.

This year's prize winners who will have a credit on their Proshop accounts are.

Time to update your wedges?

That moment when you pitch the ball close to the pin and stop it on a dime for a tap-in putt is like no other. It dramatically reduces your score whilst looking awesome. As with all shots, it requires both technique and confidence, not to mention wedges with sharp grooves.

A recent survey highlighted that a third of golfers carry wedges that are over five years old. We appreciate that everyone has a club or two in their bag that they love but grooves will gradually deteriorate over time.

If you are one of these golfers, it's worth coming to see us for a chat. We can get you testing some new wedges against your current ones to see if it's time for a change.
