Welcome to this week's newsletter. With the County Championships only a week away, I have been asked to remind all male members (sorry Ladies) whether you would like to play in the County run competitions on Saturday and Sunday. Both of these competitions can be entered on the BRS teetime system should you wish to play. This is a great opportunity to play the course off the back tees at it's very best!
Fingers crossed that the weather next weekend is better than it has been this week! The Ladies tried to play their Club Championships this week in horrendous conditions but sadly we had to postpone the second round as the golf balls were being blown off of the greens!
Well done to all the ladies who battled their way round the first round on Tuesday afternoon and then turned up to play on Wednesday still with smiles on their faces, many of them relishing the challenge of the Thurlestone winds.
The leader after the first round was Jennifer Roberts who leads Heather Spencer by 8 shots.
The rescheduled 2nd round will now be on 15th July. Good luck Ladies. Fingers crossed the weather improves!
Congratulations this week also goes to our Men's Palariet Team who won 3 ½ to 1 ½ against Exminster Golf Club away at Churston. They will be playing against Libbaton at Staddon Heights Golf Club on 31st May in the next round. Good luck guys.
We have booked our second fitting day of the year, which will be with Cobra on Thursday, 28 May from 12 until 4pm. These Clubs have had some excellent reviews and are particularly strong with their Ladies and Seniors Range of Clubs. We still have a few days left of our Battery Trade in, which has been really successful again this year. More so because you can also apply the offer to save £25 off any new Motocaddy trolley with a lithium battery as well as just the batteries. Many of you like the idea that the battery is lighter and more reliable than that of Lead acid batteries.
