Welcome to this week's newsletter. What a glorious day Kay Morley had for her Lady Captain’s Day on Wednesday. 66 Ladies enjoyed Kay’s ‘Waltz Team Stableford’, where the teams of three had 1 score to count on the first, then 2 on the second and 3 scores on the third and then back to 1. I think you get the idea, 1-2-3, 1-2-3!

As well as the interesting format, the Ladies could buy ‘Mulligan tickets’ and ‘get out of bunker Free’ tickets to support Kay’s chosen charity, Parkinsons Disease UK. This alone raised £272! What a great idea.

Pete and I also enjoyed challenging the Ladies to a Beat the Pro competition on the first hole which raised £102 for the Charity. Well done to Gill Durden, Shona Wilson, Lesley Davey and Jane Manhood who managed to beat the Pro’s.

Other news this week 

Please note that the Pro's roll up is still on every Friday, teeing off between 3pm and 6pm with the Presentation at 8pm in the Clubhouse. Simply Roll-Up between these times and play a full handicap Stableford over 9 holes. 

So if you can sneak out of work early on a Friday, or simply would like to come down to the club to play some social golf then please come and play. Why not combine your 9 holes with a Fish & Chips Special?

After 8 years at Thurlestone we would all like to wish Pete all the best in his new venture working with his father and brother at their Driving Range in Newbury. 

Pete's last day at Thurlestone will be Tuesday.
