Welcome to this week's newsletter. The weather gods were on our side for our Mixed Greensomes Open on Saturday. This is one of our best supported Opens, with a lot of regular faces from all around the country. Visitors and members alike all commented on how well the course played and the scores reflected this. 

Tony and Rebecca Whitehouse had a fantastic day and put their local knowledge to good use by scoring 45 points, narrowly beating Pam St Leger (who has just come back after an illness) and her playing partner Alan Young from Radyr GC. 

Results are as follows: 

1st - 45 pts Tony & Rebecca Whitehouse South Staffs G.C. & Shifnal G.C. (as well as Thurlestone G.C.) 
2nd - 44 pts Pam St Leger & Alan Young Thurlestone G.C & Radyr G.C. 
3rd - 43 pts M.Kenchington & T.Strong Axe Cliffe G.C.
