Welcome to this week's newsletter. 

It’s been a busy week here at the Club, with our ever popular Seniors' Open and Canada Cup being played. 

We kicked off with a full field in the Seniors' Open last Friday, which had golfers coming from far and wide, many making their annual pilgrimage to come and enjoy some Thurlestone Golf. It was Thurlestone's Senior Captain, Chris Holmes who triumphed as the Overall Winner on the day with an excellent score of 40 points. 

The rest of the field were split into 2 categories, the Under 70’s and Over 70’s

Under 70's

1st C.Allen - 40pts, 2nd S.Morris - 38pts, 3rd M.Hopkins - 38pts

Over 70's

1st Alistair Proctor - 39pts, P.Waite - 39pts, 3rd V. Harder - 38pts

Many of the field stayed over night for our Men’s Canada Cup, with the Winners once again coming from Thurlestone. Keith Crawford and Harry Cattell managed to pip T.Cook and J Crowson from Killiow GC on count back with 74 points.

  

Thank you to all of you who came to our stand at the Kingsbridge Show last week. We had a great day recruiting for our Thurlestone Junior Academy and telling people about the Tennis and Golf at Thurlestone.
