It was a wonderful winters days golf at Thurlestone last Saturday afternoon. We had 34 Juniors and 2 Professionals playing in the Christmas Special competition where we mixed the younger Academy children with the older more experienced children to play in a Team Scramble event over 7 holes.
The scores were really close with lots of really great golf being played. The winners were
1st Place James Knight, Thomas Worrall and George Catell
2nd Place Jacob Brooker, Leo Willmott, George Smallridge and Archie Carrelli
3rd Place Martha Massingham, Finn Robson, Will Brooker and Freddie Roder
The day was topped off nicely with a visit from Father Christmas himself who went out onto there course to encourage the children and also presented the children with their prizes back in the Clubhouse. All the children received a Christmas gift from Santa.
